Right...
Atm i've got a my head unit running front comps and rear 6x9's (wired from the head unit under sills all way back to parcel shelf. My head unit is this one : http://caraudiosecurity.com/shop/product/products_id/4543.html JVC KD-G421
What I want is front comps running off head unit, rear 6x9's (boxed so no sound waves conflicting with sub) and sub amped up to a 4 channel (i think this would work) and a CD changer in the boot if at all possible. Do I need 2 power cables from battery, one for autochanger one for amp? I don't get wiring!
I've confused myself!
Any help appreciated guys
Cheers

the amp u can get a 4 channel bridge 2 for the sub and use 2 for the 6x9's but tbh ul be much better off ditching the 6x9's and running the front components and the sub off the 4 channel
as for the wiering no the cd changer should get its power from the cable suplied with the headunint and changer

Just another quick Q, will my head unit power such a system or do I need a new one?

i dont no the hedunit that well but aslong as it has a front and sub or front and rear pre out then it should be fine for a basic system but if your needing to upgrade i no a few ppl that may take that one of your hands

I would strongly recommend amping your comps up and run the 6by9's off the HU.
Comps are known for being better SQ and as you get better midbass too.

This is my head unit back...
Does the CD changer clip into the black looking square port (just above my thumb!) and does the red and white circular sockets to the left (Line Out and Rear) mean i can have a 4 channel amp runnning?
Cheers. I am starting to like my head unit!

yes you can hook up a 4 chanel amp
but you wont be able to fade from front to rear

You have one pre-out
Meaning you can run one amplifier, so you could run a 4channel and run speakers and sub or something
