I have these angel eyes that i got from ebay...

and want to fit a HID kit to them, such as this one....

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/H1-8k-HID-XENON-HEADLIGHT-CAR-BULB-CONVERSION-KIT_W0QQitemZ320101163750QQcategoryZ72235QQtcZphotoQQcmdZViewItem#ebayphotohosting
Now i know it says 'no hid' on the headlight unit, but i know two guys with HID's in their corsa c angel eyes (that also say no hid on them) and have had no problems at all.
Does anyone here have hids fitted to their angel eyes ? and have you had any problems?
Cheers Coops

i have fitted Hid's to my angel eyes (the same as yours above, with a 'no HID warning'), but as yet, i havent driven with them on the road. Car is still garaged for a couple of weeks yet. Anyway they are working and all secured in and seem to do the trick, I used Dave A's 6k kit and found it very easy to fit.
Here's his tutorial on how it is to fit them (bottom of page) http://www.corsasport.co.uk/board/viewthread.php?tid=335359&page=4
its also worth reading the rest of the thread if you are unsure about legal issues, but you should be fine since you headlights have a projector prism thing. just make sure u get them alligned on a beam setter once fitted.

beats me. probably just to cover themselves from the suing culture these days, in case some dodgy HID did bugger the units. U know how it is. Im just speculating tho.

They probably say No-HID on them because the lenses weren't designed for bulbs. Funny that?

I've had them in since january (the guide was posted the same day they went in so it says when)
No problems at all, the angel eyes are perfect for the HID conversion...And as long as they are alined properly they are no bother to other motorists.
My light line sits just on the number plate of the car infront so no glaring in their car like most normal lights.
