C12nz has no crank sensor.
The dizzy has a hallsensor in it, which tells the ecu of engine rotation/speed.

well, it wont start, theres no sparkso i knew it had to be sumthin electrical.
just had the local sparky round today and he scanned it n said theres no rpm signal gettin thru, so this means the crank/hall sensor must be goosed.

Change the distributor.
And check the wiring to it.

The late SPI's weren't c12nz's.
X12SZ's iirc.

If its the dizzy causing the problem you have to change the whole dizzy, not just the cap.
Can use a decent 2nd hand replacement.

Check the wiring plug to it first, also remove the dizzy and check the drive pin hasn't broke off the end.
