It was compared to what Real paid. He is still prone to missing a good chunk of the season through injuries though.

Good for us played 33 of 41 games this season so far which is alot more than he has ever managed!

He has looked awesome this year too.

Hope we still have cash left to build a team around him!

Great signing for a club like Boro - A fully fit and confident Woodgate would be different class along side Terry or Rio IMO. Surprised he didn't try to get himself a better club even if he is from Tee side.

shows a little lack of ambition to me!! he says he has seen what shearer and gerrard did with their hometown clubs and he wants to do the same!! i cant recall newcastle winning anything with shearer, and liverpool putting up a proper challenge for the premier league (albeit wining the champs league and fa cup)

i think woodgate fully fit would walk into any team in the premiership IMO, and IMO is good enough to command a regular starting place in englands back four alongside Rio!!
