hello people,
over the last 2 days i havnt been listening to music in my car and have noticed a noise when ever i accelerate...
the noise sounds like it is coming from the engine somewhere in the centre and it is like a noise you get when you have one of those stupid plastic things stuck in your bicycle wheel  ...
any suggestions
p.s. it only does it when the car is moving and not stationary (i.e. reving)

it is like when you stick paper in a desk fan...

What if its somethingn as simple as something stuck to yer wheel, inner wheel or to a driveshaft etc, could be simple!

I would agree with beav, check you don't have a stone or something stuck in the tyre tread.

beav - dont thik it is to do with the wheel sounds like it is from the engine
kindness - deffinatly not a whistling
cobra- it only does it when you accelerate but it does get slightly noiser/faster as i speed up...
i did think it might be a leaf stuck somewhere but for me to hear it over my induction kit it would have to be a bloody big leaf...

i have this prob m8 duno wat it is it only does it between 3 & 4000 revs in 3,4 and 5th.its apain in ass bit i getin an conversion soon so i dont wory

I'm not too sure man, but if it is only when you are moving, you wouldn't think it would be the engine? You'd think it would be in the wheels or gearbox etc. Especially if it gets faster with speed.

tappets? have u checked ur oil lately? thats a similiar sound but it'll do it when idel aswell, not as loud.....but anyway check the oil, if u need top it up and then c if it continues.
