I want as much info and photos if possible on doing a rear disc conversion. Its for a nova rally car (drums dont lock as well for handbrake turns), but a corsa guide will do.
What is needed?
What is involved?
Many thanks

Do a search on MIG, there is a full guide with pics on how to do it. As it's a rally car I guess you'll be using a bias valve in it and splitting the braking front and rear. You need to do it otherwise you will end up facing the wrong way a lot!

was gonna say, the handbrake on a rear disc beam is still drum and probably worse than standard...
erm i have a rear disc beam on my old corsa if you are interested, not sure if it would be a direct fit for a nova tho..

Probably. It makes a Corsa, especially a stripped one, very tail happy!

a corsa has a wider track than a nova so dont think a corsa beam will fit

i've never had any trouble with my disc conversion, all it has is the standard rear bias adjuster.
rear disc conversion isnt hard to do, I did a search on mig but can't find the tutorial it is a good one though

Removed the bias spring from, the corsa, and never had any issues really.
Tail is a bit wavey happy, but thats more to the setup I think. Its vastly improved the cars braking, the pedal feels a lot more solid (V6 fronts), and it looks a lot better
I've got a couple of pictures, but not high res ones im afraid.
Never known many conversions where the handbrake does work properly Mine works, but not very well, and D5's, well, better off putting a brick under the wheels

I would have a set of well maintained drums over a disk conversion any day though!

if you take the spring off the load compensator, it'll need to be re-fitted for mot tho
