Right when i fit my cams to get it to idle without a remap you need to retard inlet by 1.5mm and advance exshaust by 2mm, these seem very small measurements so i was wandering if there was a tool that garages use to do this to make sure its done correctly..

mm?

They're normally measured in degrees, mm seems a strange measurement to use...

Do the standard pullies on the Saxo have adjustment marks on them?

are they catcams 708's?

if so, they will run on standard marks, we have done loads of these. it will run and idle ok untiol you can get it to someone that can set them up properly.

we have tried advancing and retarding them as far as they will go, never had any issues with valve clearance or how the engine runs.

you can get precise timing details from catcams.
