Was taking off the front wheels, suspension, steering rack etc etc out of the white car today so I can start cleaning it up ready for the other parts
Wasn't really thinking straight & I took off the suspension before I undid the bolts for the steering rack (for some reason I forget the real name of that part, sure It'll come to me later)
Can't undo the bolts without it being fixed in place (for leverage)
Anyway, rather than put the suspension back on (4 bolts each side) I decided that it would be much easier to just cut through the rack on each side
What a genius idea
I wasn't going to use the rack anyway so Im no worse off
One thing that did proove to be a proper cunt was the mounting point in the front arches where the brake flexies connect to the solid pipes. Cut straight through the flexies as a short term fix The bracket thing is still there but I've done enough bodging today though so that'll have to wait

There is a 10mm bolt on the hard pipes & a 17mm bolt on the flexies, the 10mm one wouldn't budge & the 17mm one was just making the pipe twist/rounding off t'other bolt

IIRC theres a rusty metal clip that you need to pull out that sits between the two nuts.
Cant remember if this comes off before the nuts are undone or after though
