My pc wont start up, it tries to start but cant get going. No signal is being sent to monitor and its just not revving up.
Any ideas what part needs replacing guys???

geek day in off day for one.
have you done anything to it before it went bust?
Does it even power up?
if so, undo it and try again.
otherwise. check the memory, graphics card, cpu, psu (power supply unit)
do you have an onboard speaker, if so when you try to power up does it make any beeping sounds. remember what they sound like and get back to us

It was on then it froze and wouldnt even reset. Iv turned it off then it wouldnt boot up.
It usually beeps when it comes on, but it wont even get to that stage now?????

does it have any power what so ever, fans spinning?
if not, get a new power supply. £25 will get you a reasonable 600watt

It makes a noise mate and the lights on the front of the atx case stay on but it doesnt rev like it should.
Should i go for a power supply then mate??

its worth a shot but try taking some memory out if you have more than one stick of it, unplug hard drives, cd drives and floppy drives and try then. you just need to narrow it down to the component

Ill unwire everything and then boot it up. Should it beep then if the power supply is ok???

It should give the standard bios beep wich is one beep. if it gives contant beeps i believe that to be the memory. if it gives 3 beeps that could be the graphics card. I think thats right but could be the other way around. havnt delt with computer hardware problems for over 2 years now so im a little rusty on certain things

the beeps are different for every motherboard and every manufacturer, and even change with different BIOS versions. Also, if you are going to buy a new PSU, dont buy a £25 one, spend £40 upwards on a brand name one with other features to stop it blowing up in a thunderstorm and so the power it offers is actually constant as opposed to peak
