wheres a good place to get some modern and fresh looking designs... argos is poop. bhs? woolworths? mate told me john lewis but i dont think theres one around here

Ikea--- cheapish, good looking, loads to choose from and as Colin said easy to replce when one breaks.

Matalan - Ikea cutlery is awful; infact the most difficult part of buying my house so far has been choosing the cutlery!

I know it sounds daft but I found Wilkinsons the best for cutlery when i bought my place, not sure what plates etc. are like

We have two sets of ikea cutlery...one I like, one I dont....the forks are too thin
The other set is fine though, had it for 3+ years and no problems

I've just bought those bowls/plates etc from Tesco

As for Ikea cutlery this years is just naff designs I think - thats wat I found a couple of weeks ago.

We bought a plain set of cutlery from there and they look nice and do the job fine

I want the full set of the white bowls/plates etc, we currently have 2 of the pasta bowls, which we use every day
