if i go into outlook express it opens up but undetected unless i check processes and close it. So if i want to check my e-mails i have to open up messenger i have, log on and appear off line as to not get logged into the other one, anyone know how to stop it?

Just delete the program files folder it's in, that's what I did when I had this before, from what I remember it's not in add/remove programs

Click Tools > Options > un-tick Automatically log on to Windows Messenger
Or uninstall Windows Messenger
Start > Control Panel > Add Remove Programs > Add/Remove Windows Components > un-tick Windows Messenger
