The rear shocks on my 1998 Corsa B 5dr are weak. Can you suggest some decentish ones please? Is it a straightforward job on this car?

Just fit a whole new kit. I'd recommend Koni adjustables (have them on my 5 door). I wouldn't just uprate the rear shocks and leave the front std.
Sports shocks are generally shorter too, so you'd run into problems if you did.
Rear shocks is quite straight forward (as the spring is seperate). Fronts will require a spring compressor.

i have standard fronts and shortened GMax back dampers on standard springs and it seems to work ok. One of my rears was leakin badly.
