Car supermarkets are you best bet - usually they have large batches of cars, and this is the only really feasible place that they'd come from IMO .

Find someone who has a company car, and get them to ask their leasing company where they go. We've bought four of my mums company fleet cars. They can usually get them for a silly price too, so you don't usually lose much money on it when its time to sell. For instance, we bought a 3 year old Mercedes for £6400 off her company, drove it around, sold it for £8500 or so. Just bought her last company car, which is a Mercedes 270CDI. Brand new in November 2003, we got it for £10400. Also had two BMWs, which one of her friends bought.
Company cars are usually a good bet, as they'll have full dealer service history and will usually have been serviced and maintained regardless of cost.

Im finding it hard to get ahold of a bmw - preferably the 328i coupe model.

The problem that you will find is that most lease cars will be 3 1/2 years old at most. Also, most company cars will be saloons, as a lot of companies frown upon having coupes or convertibles as company cars. You also have to remember that a lot of people pay company car tax, and so the vast majority will go for diesels/smaller engine/cheaper cars so that they don't get stung for tax. Personally, I think you'll have problems trying to find a 328 coupe, as you've already noticed.

Many will have had a hard life too, I know I've kicked the backside out of all of the cars I've had. They've got a great service history but many will have had their arse kicked.

Try auction houses such as:
British Car Auctions
Manheim Auctions

We buy loads of ex company cars at work and they all end up on main dealer forecourts.
Just buy carefully and you will be fine.
