yeh exactly take off the rub strips and put in a gsi interior remove the badge and replace with a genuine gsi badge, since your putting im a gsi engine will be a good replica then.

Ecka says--
well about sat afternoon about 1 pm me and my mate steven aka cheese started saras engine conversion so we got busy and started to take it out of the gsi we bought a couple of weeks ago
the ginger hair'd guy is cheese and the old man is the guy across the road came over for a nosey, his name is davey
we then loaded it onto my work truck- dont tell my boss
This is all thats left on the gsi 8)
After arriving at our destanation about 3pm we parked up the corsa and i sat and hit the limiter or about 25 secs but got board so stopped
then we took out the 1.2 8v bad boy
Just a couple of pics with coco having no engine
THEN....... we started putting in the gsi engine
We got it all bolted in and thought we would call it a day haha
really really chuffed with the progress so far , 2 engines out a 1 engine in less than 1 day i was proud of us
so today went to coco to start again steven done the loom etc (the hard bits) and i just started with the clocks and things like that the drive shaft are in as well as the gearbox, wiring mounts, hoses , feeds etc all done today, connected up the battery and it started to turn so all is ok - didnt expect it to start wih no fuel pump leads etc
so now the plan is -
Tell turbopower to get his finger out and check that 2.0 brakes he is selling me
oil change, filter change, leads on, dis pack on , big breaks on , bigger fuel pump, soarce a v groove belt that fits around the bottom pully and altonator as were not running the power steering
ohhh the list could go on
hopefully done for next sunday as we need to convoy to elgin with our website

IIRC you need to change the fuel lines when going from SPI to MPI. Pump should be fine, same pump is used in all the corsa range.

no need to change line's as the car is an sri, which is MPI...
also, not all the pump's are the same, spi's have different one's to mpi/16v's

Its and SRI Rep, 1.2 8v.
Thought the pump was the same on the whole range, maybe not!
