Here for sale I have my 106 GTi.

Right I'll explain a little about the car.

It's a 1998 on a R plate. It's done 84,500 miles, and has 10 months MOT.

The car runs fine, starts first time, but I'll tell you everything about the car so if you want to view I don't waste your time.

I have recently had the clutch and gearbox rebuilt for £600, and it still has 11 months warrenty left on it. In reverse it is a bit noisy, but the garage that rebuilt it said it's not causing a problem with the car - but its still under warrenty anyway, so if anything does go wrong it will be repaired for free.

The car also has a few stone chips on bonnet, and chipped back arches, which is shown on the pictures.

But the reason I'm selling the car this cheap, is because there's a knocking coming from the engine. From what I can hear it's coming from the top end cams, but I wouldn't rule out the bottom end. And I don't have the time or spare funds to see into it. Hence the cheap price. It starts first time and runs a dream, but the knocking will have to be seen to if its a problem - VIEWINGS WELCOME.

Here of a few pics of her:

The price im putting on this car is £1750, but I'm willing to P/X for something like a Corsa Sport, and cash either way... whatever you have.

Viewings and testdrives are welcome, and I'm located in the Leicestershire area.

If interested can you please either U2U me, reply in here, or send me an email kylestyle06@hotmail.co.uk

Thanks for looking!!

Lol and update on this now!! Glad I didnt sell as someone would of had a STEAL!!!

Well an update for you all!! Just as you may experiance the same problem!

I was driving last night, and the knocking suddenly stopped. So I pulled over, turned engine off, opened bonnet looked in, turned on, and it started really badly and smoke came out.. So I called the RAC guy and he came out, opened the bonnet, said to me "this isn't a bottom end knocking noise, it sounds nothing like the knocking of the engine". He knew the problem straight away! Took the head off, and to my surprise all it was, was a spark plug had shot lose and was knocking in the engine! So he sorted it there and then! Im so glad I called RAC, as some SPECIALIST garages around my area tried to rob me of a good £700 when they deal with these cars day in day out!!!

So happy though, and so pissed off I could of been dumb and got robbed by some theiving garage cunts!

It's not expensive, new engines are easy enough to come by but it could be something much less serious.
