Was watching SkySports News this morning while I was getting ready for work and Tom Hicks was chatting about this saying he and Rafa were very pleased etc etc. And he also mentioned that within the next week or so there could "possibly" be another signing of a player "we think everyone will be pleased with".....

Everything I have been hearing is saying Alonso might not sign a new deal and could be shipped out. Im hoping he might see some big names come in and then sign up himself, but if not we should get a decent amount for him.
New stadium plans are due out around the 18th too. Hicks said it would be something 'special'

Alonso wont go...he loves the club too much...he will go back to Spain when he is about 29-30 to finish his career with Soceiadad...
I suspect Garcia may go this summer...he has his critics but I hope he doesnt he has scored some big goals for us over the past few years...

We have been linked with Alves for years now, but I feel with Chelsea and Madrid interested we'll be priced out of that one...unless the player actually wants to come to us and puts his foot down.
Garcia wont be going, Rafa sees him as too good of a squad player.

You cant discount the Rafa influence though Cosmos...I remember Real were sniffing alonso when we were in for him...we certainly wont offer as much wages as real and we still got him...
