It's a peugeot what more can you say, they are all pants
even a 106 gti would thrash your astra. and as for being'pants' you own a vauxhall
I would rather own a vauxhall than some french shit hence why I bought a brand new one - and i could not give a monkeys if it could thrash mine - the peugeot would just break down

I would personally say Vauxhall's are more reliable - all you hear about from peugeots is gearbox has gone etc etc

So ownership of a 106 gti ( the worst for gearboxes ) for over a year and how many times has my 106 broke down..............................grand total of 0
Gearbox condition - first one still and its absolutely fine.
I dont want to fuel the fire but its annoying when you get the average ken who thinks he knows cars that hes probably not driven / owned and feels he knows them inside out.

any car that is driven hard every day for years will have problems with gearboxes, its not just 106 gti's!
Mine is on 81000 miles and still sweet as a nut!
