ive owned a nova valver, pug 205 1.9gtdi saxo vtr a corsa 1.4 sport and a corsa gsi, and the pug/saxo were the best handling cars but my nova was like a go-kart and stuck to the corners helish good.
i wouldnt recomend a pug or citroen as they are very flimsy (u crash your pretty much fooked)
id stick with a vauxhall bud
or a williams/rsi clio

A Saxo/106 would be no worse in a crash than a Corsa or Clio and it would be MUCH safer than a Nova or 205.
