Taken from PVW mag
"The government are at it again, and this time they're trying to introduce Section 59, which is a caution for "vehicles used in a manner causing alarm, distress, or annoyance" This means that you could be given a caution for anything they like, such as a loud exhaust, and the worst bit of all is they need no proof. They can even issue a warning off the back of witness statements, and all it takes it three of these cautions and they can take your motor! Getting it back means parting with £150! If like us you think this is outrageous, log on to http://petitions.pm.gov.uk/section59 to sign the petition. Go on what are you waiting for?"
I think it might be worth signing this one, don't want to be getting a caution from a witness statement from some knob who doesn't like me or something

Dunno, It's this months mag, so
edit - yes, but the petition is to scrap section 59, not to prevent it, the mag was obviously written wrong?

I think its a good idea tbh, some of the exhausts around here fitted to 1.2L put-puts are stupid!

I've had a few of these section 59 over the few years they've been out.
Just another way to piss people off.
A copper once tried to take my car off me and said i've not got the form so sign my notebook. i said no form no car. got away with it

Has nobody realised yet that the government don't care what the public think, especially via these petitions.
