it was on the lower hidden icons, it looked like a spider symbol and thought it was a virus so i deleted it from the list...i want it back though

If you restart the computer whatever you closed should start back up.

If there is every anything wrong with a computer give it a restart first.

lmao u wont loose your pics (so long as you save them) it could be a program thats intstalled on ur pc, try ur programs list, but if you have lost sound you have either muted it or lost a driver somewhere

Assuming you are running xp... Start>Control Panel>Sounds and Audio Devices>Place volume icon in the taskbar

Download a computer diagnostics tool, such as Fresh Diagnose. Find out what soundcard you have/motherboard. Download drivers from their site.

Well it is a laptop so it shouldn't be too difficult to find the drivers, what make and model is it? Let me know and I will try to get you a link for the drivers.
