Hi Guys,

What components do you recommend for around £100 - £200

For Corsa B and to fit behind the door card.

I have the autoleads adaptor for 13cm and 17cm. Spoke to a guy the other day who recommended getting 13cm speakers as 17cm ones can rest on the grill slightly which makes them rattle.

Will the magnet of all 13cm speakers fit in the door without hitting the glass when the window is down?

The new ones? I was in the alpine stand at goodwood and had a listen to the 13cm ones running off a new head unit, Sounded pretty good, these are a choice, just wondered if there are any other options?

They will be running off an Alpine V12 amp

Would I be able to get a good set for my budget though?
They need to fit in the standard door pods so the magnet can't be too big.
It seems like most people have them on show with custom door pods, is this because they dont fit or because it looks better? I'm into the stealth look personlly

i have bottow of the range focals, i think they were 125 quid whhen i bought them. Sound quality in my eyes is top notch, and with a bigger budget you could get the next models up i would have though.
Mine fitten no probs on the standard adaptors, but then later changed to door pods as they look nicer.
To get the most out of and decent quality component you will have to connect them up to an amp

Cheers dude, yer i currently have infinitys wired up to an alpine v12, Just looking for a wee upgrade.

I do enjoy focals, just want to get the best for my budget really.

It seems £70 components have the same power outputs as £200 components but the only difference is say Infinity to Focal. I dont understand all the jargon

They may have the same power output but the focals for example will be made out of better quality materials and therefore have a better sound quality. My focals are only 50Watts RMS but they can still hurt my ears

i have the type s components and tweeters, bloody great over standard, went for the 13's as they make the plastic fitting thing, would of gone to 17 but i treid type s and there was no way they where goin to fit unless i cut a hole in the door or you make some form of costom pod that brings the speaker out away from the car/door

i've got the rainbow SL265's (iirc there SL's or SLX or somethin similar) and there quality speakers and come in at 120 quid.

Only problem is they won't fit behind the door pockets. How ever if you get the smaller ones they should fit fine.

Go with rainbows or focals, i had a set of rainbow SL230 deluxes and when amped the sound quality was superb, a lot better than the phoenix gold octane ZRs I have now
