Stev in the case of a crash i'm in a 106 anyway, i will then get a 3" shiny tube through my head so if the seats fall out i may be ok

No harnesses. Normal seat belts. Will be retrimmed in Leather and alcantara.

My car isn't a track car, but i find the standard seats very uncomfortable and don't support you at all. My mate has these in his DC2 and they're amazing. No need for harnesses, still have rear seats and a 'mickey mouse' cage

Well they won't match the rears. Are they alcantara? If it's similar to the standard alcantara then i'll just get the bolsters etc retrimmed in black leather

As i said Rob i'm keeping the rear seats, and retrimming these so i may have front seats for sale if thats any use to ya? Still have those nimrods too

I may purchase the subframes, but my brother can easily fabricate them, he's put S2 RST recaro's in his mates mini, cav sri seats in his suzuki sj, and have all been strong and work perfectly.

Ive got custom subframes, and why not its cheaper. AK, how do you define mickey mouse harnesses? Im buying some soon and going for the standard buckle ones rather than aircraft style. Its not going to be used in motorsport so FIA regs dont apply so why pay the extra?

My 'subframes' were standard Corsa ones with little bits of 1" wide, 1/4" thick steel bar holding them on, made in a garage, using M10 bolts and shitloads of washers to space them.

Passed an MOT, never moved...

Cheaper than paying for side mounts and metal bars to be welded to my floor.

I think thats what he means, im considering them for mine, just not sure what the advantages of aircraft style buckles are over them unless it is a racing car and required by regs.

Only advantage is that when you undo the standard ones your arms are still in the harnesses where as the aircraft style ones completely undo.
