Apart from Windows Remote Desktop Connection or any version of VNC.
Does anyone know anything else which is free and will enable me to see the desktop of another computer on the LAN.
Thanks

Not sure if its the same thing your after but we use www.logmein.com Its all done over the internet. You download the software onto each pc and then you can control them remotely if there turned on.

We only use the free version. You can control the other computer and access its files on your computer though.

I found Dameware to be a good tool, and it installs itself on the client you want to connect too.

Apart from VNC, i've used RemotelyAnywhere which wasn't that good to be honest and Remote Administrator, which isn't free, but can be had from the "special" shop, it's pretty damn small and a piece of piss to use and would highly recommend it (though it isn't cross-platform, ie: windows only).
