hi.

ive got a corsa 1.4 8v sri, c14se. does this engine mean its exempt the old co2 emissions test?

because it doesnt have a cat? or just because they didnt have co regs set at that time?

does this mean i can get away with decat?

just a query really, any info helpful!

Nope you cant get away with a de-cat.

The earliest corsa reg is K, which is post August 1992 when cat emissions were brought in. So it needs a cat.

But some engines will pass an emissions test without a cat providing they are running well

Change that running well to running lean,lol.

If your engines running normally it cannot pass a cat level emissions test without a cat fitted.

Very lean mix will give bad emissions too. Lambda 1 gives best emissions
