Ipconfig /all doesn't work on mine behind a router. I only get my PC's assigned IP 192.168.2.2 and the routers address of 2.1 etc...
The router config however also shows the WAN address.

Pretty sure it will be your WAN address. As this is then routed to your PC.

the ip address will be the IP address of the XBOX, different to any machine on the internal network if using a router) this should be dynamic if your behind a router

If your trying to connect the xbox to the net you can plug it straight into the back of the modem via eithernet cable. If the xbox is set to automatically detect an IP address it will pick it up from the modem. You dont have to manually give the xbox an IP address.
or
If your PC is connected to the modem via eithernet you can spend £10 and get a 2nd PCI NIC card (network card) put it in your pc and plug the xbox into that. Your pc will have to be turned on to connect the xbox to live tho. Make sure LAN settings are set to auto detect on PC and XBOX (they normally are anyway)
or
Get a router and plug the Modem, PC and XBOX into it then run both independantly. Or you could get a wireless router and buy the wireless from the xbox £60 iirc
