Has anybody got a Powerflow exhaust, do you recommend?
Have a MK3 clio that I want to put straight through exhaust on.
How much are they roughly for this, and also do you have to remove cat to have a straight through exhaust at I will have to keep fitting it for emissions.
Cheers.

I have a powerflow cat back, it sounds quite nice and looks reasonably made. A straight through exhaust would be one without a cat, though you can retain your standard cat and replace this come MOT time.

i thought a straight through exhaust was one with the silencer(s) removed and the cat kept?
e.g. a straight through pipe.
my mate has a powerflow exhaust, sounds very nice and has lifetime guarantee

A cat isnt 'straight through', silencers are just baffles inside but the pipe remains hollow.

I heard the quality varies from place to place but the one i have is fine, doesnt seem to have rusted anywhere.
Tis a bit loud though

just make sure you ask them to use new flanges, they have a habit of cutting off the standard ones and rewelding them onto the new exhaust at the Powerflow near me.

When I had my corsa I got mine done in 2001 by Powerflow in St Albans and cost £300. That's for the full system, twin set of scorpion tailpipes (all functional) either side of valence and lifetime warranty/guarantee. Had absolutely no problems with it whatsoever- sold the car about a month ago so it had been on there jut over 6years

Its nice to see no members jumping on the bandwagon saying Powerflow are crap just because of someone elses words. Very often people just quote what they hear on the internet but people talking from experience are always in a better position to judge.

all comes down to which franchised branch you go to tbh. Ive seen some good ones, some shockingly bad ones. there are better quality exhausts than powerflow out there but powerflow offer simplicity and good prices. just make sure they use all new parts and not just chop off the old flanges, which is a habit with some branches.
