Hey guys wonder if you can help me my car really isnt playing ball! As of 2 days ago it just hasnt been running properly anytime i try and accelerate it just cuts the power and the engine dies, i can just about drive it around if i only use very very light throttle and let the revs build up really slowly.
I checked the fault codes as the ecu light finally came on today permentantly rather than just when i tried to accelerate and it flashes up no. 66 which is carbon monoxide potentiometer high voltage, ive checked all connections and things and all seems ok. Would this fault code be causing the problem i have as i would rather not go and spend the £80 on a new lamda sensor which i assume is what the fault code refers to (can someone please confirm this for me) unless it is definitely that which is at fault.
Cheers for any help

Bit of a strange one in my eyes Andy. My mates lambda sensor wires had been rubbing his alternator, and it still ran. It used loads of fuel though but never cut out and always managed full throttle.
