I locked up the standard ones all the time, but the V6 ones were more controllable, you could brake harder without them locking.
this is what im after more controllable braking
a set of v6 calipers on the cards i think then
then some rear discs too

After hacking his car up the other day, I can safely say the brake bias valve on the back was removed, completely, before we'd been there.

V6 front brakes put me off abit as they are much heavier than astra GSI 
What are rear discs like for handbrake turns? Driving around here on the local tarmac rally tracks you need to be able to lock up your rear end easily with the panic lever

mark mentioned something about a bias valve on his car???
and handle brake probley wouldn't snatch like a drum brake, but i only use the handle occationaly (for turning) for wont affect me too much

i've got gsi setup on the front, red dot grooved and vented discs, wit hred dot pads, and goodridge braided lines, theyre fantastic

anyone no if v6 ones fit behind cav gsi wheels? got turbo ones atm with fiat discs but there single piston and think the v6 are twin piston are they not?

v6 are single pots, and yes they do, just!

they should do, 15's are fine, you will probs need braided hoses tho. that was the first problem wih mine when the bigger brakes went on there was next to no braking

warren current stup is
cav turbo callipers fiat turbo 284mm discs drilled and groved
rear astra gte 16v calipers ret dot groved discs and pads
braided flexi's and all new copper lines.
brake bias valve in car.
setup is pants! my mates with astra's running v6 standed with rear discs feel loads better as in x alot!
think half to do with the master cylinder but i really did think the v6 callipers had a piston each side of the calliper.
once again ive been shot down in flames! ha
gona be doin a mondeo master cylinder and servo soon so if that works well and it can be done in some sort of kit form ile let you no.
always trouble taking car off the raod as its the daily driver atm

I've got hi spec 4 pots and 285mm discs on the front, and rear discs off of an astra i think.
Dont expect to do any handbrake turns My handbrake hardly holds the car at a standstill.
Also, my pedal is spongy as hell. Although they do stop very well

ran drums on mine for years with no probs on the turbo and 2ltr .. ive used 2ltr, and calibra/cav turbo brakes on the front and thought they were shyt alltho for a car like yours i would think the v6's should be fine ... i used to have a big disc kit for the 2ltr calipers and i thought they were better than the calibra turbo brakes!
