I dont know much about vauxhalls too many different corsa's

I have a c16se engine which says Gsi on the inlet.
What year corsa 1.6s had the 8v because I see alot of people on the site with Gsi corsa's but I think there pretty much all 16v and whats the difference between the 1.6 gsi and the 1.6 sport.

Also the is a Nova Gte and a Nova Gsi ?

the c16se is the nova gsi engine

C16se would be a 1.6 8v out of a nova gsi

gorsa gsis are c16xe or x16xes

Early GSi's had the c16xe which was 107bhp or 109bhp depending on where you read your figures from.

The later gsi's and all the sports had the x16xe which was 104bhp

both were 1.6 16v

So this Nova gsi will be around the 100bhp mark.
What are people views on the c16se, still as reliable as the other 8v's

i had the c16se in my old corsa.i had a 4 branch manifold and a straight through system,viper air filter and it was as quick as a gsi.but also more reliable and easier to work on/tune

yeh lol a bit too loud though and if i remember when i took you in it it had dodgy spark plug leads and a miss fire

c16se only came in the late gsi's and had dispac..

the other engine, more comonly found in gte's and gsi's is the e16se, with uses a coil and and dissy for spark
