more of the inside..

we went to strip the last wall paper out the front bedrooms.. well the wall paper came off with all the blinkin plaster.
So we ended up getting a spade and shelling all the plast from floor to ceiling. It was hard work!!!

then we started the second room.

then there's a flamin gun cabinate in the wardobe.. empty of course!! lol

bedrooms now all sripped of plaster

the builders done the downstairs W/C in block work instead of wooden frame and plaster board.

Anglian have been here the last two days fitting the extension windows, french doors, front door etc

this is take from the kitchen looking out.

we've had light oak wood grain 'look' on the outside and white on the insid to make it look lighter

they've done a grand job

How much do you reckon it would cost to get a builder to do a similar sized extension?

not as much as you think if you get it built in BLOCKS instead if brick. as one block is like 6 bricks but its quicker to put up.

The roofs coming on now.

gully just about finshed.

they've started on the front part o the roof now, this wasn't planned.. so more expense the old roof was in a poor state though.

We now have the plasterer on site who's prep'in the outside walls for rendering

in for a penny in for a pound :/

I'm intending to use fyffe stone blocks, as the house is built from pink granite. I'm thinking somewhere in the region of £50k to build a 5m x 6m two story extension.
