Right I had a problem about 2 weeks a go where my car kept cutting out and idleing a bit high never had a eml on at all. It was sorted by cleaning the idle control valve.

Last night my car decided to permanently idle around 3000rpm, my car was reving by itself?? The eml now comes on??

any ideas??

heres a vid to help lol

Look at your throttle body and check the linkage is moving properly. It wont harm the car so dont worry. They only problem you will face is if it overheats.

We had a similar experience and ours WAS a stuck idle valve. It was stuck open and would not move until a mate came round with a TECH 2 computer and manually moved the valve. Since them it has been superb.

Other than the hole in the diff plate that has just appeared. I dont think its related BTW LOL
