They both came through at the same time though, went on loan to a belgum club together whilst at United.

Higginbottom was at Southampton before he went to Stoke, many Saints' fans were sad to see him leave.

A solid leftback, got a good left foot on him but lacks pace. Solid signing I'd say, still not enough to keep Sunderland out of trouble IMO.

Played for Derby in the Prem, we bought him from United....getting on a bit now???
