I downloaded Azureus yesterday after a format afew weeks ago, but after a while it closes itself and stops downloading for no apparent reason. does anyone know a fix for this? its version 3.0.1.6 on XP

I found Azureus to be the slowest and hardest to use.

uTorrent was a lot easier and quicker.

Is it set to close itself when the torrent finishes downloading?
How much hdd space do you have on the drive your downloading to? If the hdd space is full the download will stop. Remember though if its a 4gb file the comp will allocate 4gb of space (temp file) while the torrent downloads so even tho you've only downloaded 100mb its still took up 4gb of space.

the file is still downloading, it doesn't close when it finishes, it just randomly does it.

there is 174GB of free space and i'm currently downloading a 2.4 GB file

Its Java based... I had a similar problem when my Java install was screwed.

problem was java based as richie said, i came back to it and got a java startup error, reinstalled Java and it worked straight away
