Concidered a A3/4, Passat/Golf? Can get some cracking ex-company deals - Full dealer service histories as well - maintained no matter the cost

I could live with 45mpg tbh I dont mind heavy & slow!

Doubt id get anything VAG that meets my budget & requirements!

Depends how bothered about miles you are mate. Could pick up a Passat 1.9 TDi with 120k on it, FSH, AC, CD player etc. etc. for £2.5k.

It'll have 110bhp and on the motorway average 50mpg.

Im not interested in having a nice car just now just to tank it up & down the motorway & not have the time of day to wash, polish or care for it. Once ive done my 18 months training for my new job I wont need to commute to work at all so can get something to soil my pants in.

Know how you feel Colin. I've just about given up with keeping a car clean and nice.

and i filled it up once a month.

50mpg easy 55-60 driving it sensibly on motorway

Fuck the 4x4 idea off they are not going to return as good mpg and seeing as how you're a tight ass.. just messing colon.

A £2-3k 4x4 is gonna be a heap, if you must do it get the shogun you've always liked (swb)?

mk2 seat ibiza 1.9TDI

Has the 90bhp golf engine but you can pick these up much cheaper than a golf. They can do 60mpg steady driving
