I asked about Quiksilvers in particular but cheers for the opinions. If i could insure a GTi i'd obviously get one but as i'm 19 with no NCB i dont think thats gonna happen!
And whoever said get a VTR can shut up! I wouldnt touch a VTR.
What insurance group is the Quiksilver? And does anyone have any performance figures for it?

And the 106 is definately nicer than the Saxo. Especially S2 106's!

No steve, it doesn't actually. Its slower all round than a 1.4 16v.

it also does not handle the same as the VTR. is a 106 1.4 8v with the wheel arch extenstions.
however it's not a bad car to start with when your young and have zero no claims

I have a mate selling one of these soon. It's going cheap to. £4200 and his is a S reg I think with low miles. Only downside is that it's been in a small accident, but was driveable and has been repaired now tho.
They are nice cars. Personally I'd stick to 15" rims and clear lights and repeaters. Maybe light smoke tint. Tasteful

Meat Pie- Why did that guy buy a Quiksilver when he can get insurance on a GTi?
Vibs- Thats what i'm thinking of. I'm being realistic and looking at cars i can insure.
The performance difference wont bother me as my 1.4 16v isnt exactly a race car. Anyway how different can my 16v be compared to the 8v Pug?

Cant complain about the Quiksilver, build quality isnt bad at all Meat Pie, better than any saxos, and its nice than other lower spec 106's cos of the Quiksilver trim, yes i am looking at a GTi, but thats cos im a speed freak and iv had enough of Clios thinking their the bollox and having a pop at my Quikky! Good first cars! Corsa Nath, dont let 19 affect u, im 18 and a GTi is definitly not a ruled out car!
