I have a bad bonnet with two vents in it, the bloke who i brough the bonnet off decided it would be a good idea to put ford vents in and silicon them in.
And when i have gone to put the new sprayed bonnet onto my car the paint around the vents has cracked because ovisly the bonnet bent a little when we put it on.
I had an idea to put some sort of trim round the vents to stop this showing but wanted your advise on what to use for the trim and what colour black sliver or blue to match the car ( The trim needs to be thin)
Cheers would love any suggestion i dont want it looking tacky

Electrical tape will do, vents look poo unless they serve a purpose. So the tape wont make it look any worse

Silicon is flexable and the primer/paint etc wont flex with it

Silicone is used as a lubricant aswell as in a sealer so why wold you expect something to stick to a lubricant?
