The EDGE for the internet won't IIRC, nor will the visual voicemail thing. As long as it's unlocked, they have GSM capabilities so should work in Europe.

Currently you cannot use an iPhone in the uk unless you are handy with a soldering Iron.
There are claimed software hacks but apples legal team have stopped them being released so far.

Had a play with one in the office a few weeks back, looks great other than the fingerprint marks EVERYWHERE ( )
Function wise its cack and the spec for UK is piss poor compared to any half decent phone ie EDGE etc which is largely irrelevant over here

no it was a MD of a communications (Certicell) bought it off him for 3 iPhones and a 350Z.
But no, if you got an iPhone from the states it wouldn't work over here, even when O2 goes live with their iPhone - you'll have to get it unlocked, which isn't that easy. There was an irish company coming out with a software hack, but that got balled over by Apple. However, there is suppose to be another software hack out there that works, was on theregister.co.uk or the theinquirer.net
