My Brother wants to know where he can buy a brand new Austin Mini shell. A search just brought up loads of eBay auctions and a few sites selling spares.

Anyone know of any specialists?

He has an old one

He has a 1980 Sprite, he changed the wings for brand new ones in 1997 when it was restored.

Looking at £2800 on that site excluding doors. He says he wants a motorsport shell complete with weld in cage.

i have stripped my dads 94 cooper now, ready for new panels. its not overly bad but he wants any scabbing just replaced with new panel so heres the list

wings
apanels
front panel
front valance
floor
inner sills
sills
door skins
boot floor
rear valance
and repair section for bit that goes up around the rear lights
scuttle

i have to get a price for all these panels all genuine so itll be interesting to see the difference between that and a new shell

well you would buy the cage, and the shell, then get a decent company to weld the cage in

or buy the shell, and get it deleiverd to a decent fabricator up your way

He says theres a bit of surpace rust on the roof etc so thinks its better to replace the shell as it was treated before but comes back.

Was on about a carbon fibre boot lid too, seen as though they're the worst for rust.
