And another thing, reading through what is needed for the MOT, and I found this:
REGISTRATION PLATES AND VIN* (Vehicle Identification Number)
For registered vehicles the plate must be:
• Present
• Secure
• Not faded, dirty or obscured
• Be composed with correctly formed letters and spacing
The VIN number must be
• Permanently displayed
• Consistent · Legible.
* Required on all vehicles first used on or after 1st August 1980.
Mine isnt even there
Will it fail? Can I get a replacement, or make my own?

Mine doesn't have a VIN plate on the crash/slam panel, and didn't before my crash. Late Corsa's had them on the drivers door pillar. Mine also passed the MOT without one, after the crash. If they ask for one though, I'll go back to the crash company

My X reg sport has it on the slam panel.
The VIN number is also stamped into the floor on the drivers side. I think

Yeah, I have the number on the floor, and the one on the black plate by the windscreen, just dont have a vin plate on the slam panel.
If they ask, il say look on the windscreen.

Trust me, the garage im going for the MOT checks EVERYTHING, he even takes off the fuel cap and checks the seal etc, if its the slightest bit worn, fail.

As long as there is a chassis number there you will be fine wont fail on the vin plate being missing

Go to another garage. One of my other mates got hers done at ATX. It's an old W reg Fiesta which she just uses and uses, never checks a thing. Think her Dad gets it serviced for her though.
I've not had an MOT done is years, my cars seem to die before they reach 3 years old
