hi people, im considering buying a rover 200 BRM, but i am a little worried that they went bust. Is it now very difficult to pick up replacement parts for the 200, because they are not being manufactured any more? or is it still easy to buy a new exhaust and what not when needed? thanks guys.

MG Sport and Racing bought the rights to the parts so you'll be fine when you need to order headgasket parts.

I don't really know what car you mean by BRM, but I know what the 200 is.

Could I ask, with all the other cars you could buy, why you want a 200 which 1) the actual company that made them went bust 2) the head gaskets are prone to going?

The BRM is a limited edition with 160bhp, a limited slip differential and an awesome leather interior. Really rare too.

I say this all the time when someone mentions Rover and Headgaskets.

I've had 2 1.4 twincam engined cars. One had 130K and the other 66K when bought. Never, ever did I have a HG problem. And both got the shit kicked out of them everytime they were driven.

Most people who say HG problems, probably haven't even owned a Rover.
