no, dont blast it genrally
and daz, the blast material will then be all inside, and no matter how much you clean it it will still get into the engine and then fuck your oil pump

you can blast them but with beed blast no sand blasting! and make sure you take the plate out from inside the rocker cover. other wise when u go down the road it'll shake out the excess grit and fuck your engine! oh and never powder coat the inside of a rocker cover! i learned the hard/expensive way!!!!

i've always been told not to powder coat the engine cover because it warps it, i had mine painted and it has lasted for up to now

That would explain why they didnt do the underside of mine then, assuming you had it done where you work?

you should never get the underside blasted, you will never removed 100% of the blast material

i've seen one that has been powdercoated and the cover no longer sits perfect as though the heat has mis-shaped it slightly, so i was told just to paint mine which i did.

yer some customers insist on haveing the inside blasted but tell them its at there own risk.
we learned the hard way with this, but thankfully it was with my engine and needed a rebuild anyway!
