ive hit 120 in my 1.4 16v with a inlet, bmc induction kit, 4-2-1 and a decat. but it was at like 6250 revs lol, and nothing wrong with speedo as it was done on a sat nav!

Pre Mantzel inlet i head butted the rev limit in 5th. I shit myself. I thought that i had left it in 4th

The speedo said just over 130 about 132. But it's about 10% out. so that's about 119.

My 20XE GSi was pretty accurate, the roadangel read 4mph below what the clocks said no matter what speed i was doing.

Had her off the clock once indicated 142mph on the clocks \ 138mph on road angel. It was an f20box on 16" wheels.

serious question, is the power increase going to make it go any faster top end without a different gearbox?

iv hit the rev limiter in 5th on a flat - 129mph according to clocks, would of gone faster if no rev limiter!

my 1.4 sport showed 127mph down a very big hill.
i also drove my mates 1.1 pug 106 and it showed over 120mph on the way back from york. this was around the time i stopped believing the speedo readings!!
tbh though people will believe what they are told by speedos, so you cant blame them for claiming to do something they are told they are doing.

why bother racing him at all? you stood no chance, are you not aware that with just a fiter and backbox you can acheive evo destroying performance and a set of springs make it handle better too
