Question regarding alloys and fitments,
If I want alloys and they are 17' the sizes next to them are 205-40-17
I presume 205 is the width of the tyre, 40 is the offset, and 17 is the inches bit. Is this correct ??.
If so how would I go about getting an offset of 45 or 49 but from a 17 inch wheel, is this possible, or is it a case of the bigger the wheel, the lower the offset ??
Any help appreciated as I really have no idea
Thanx
BigCon.

205 = width of tyre
40 = tyre profile eg how tall the tyre is from the edge of the rim to the top of the tread in mm
17 = wheel size
