Check the in gear times for the Boxster and it'll be a much bigger difference than the 0-60! I'd personally go for a decent 350z import or an S2000, Boxsters for lower money are generally dogs and old.

If your wanting a Roadster I'd seriously look at the 350z, really enjoyed mine. Good fun, easily back end action, well built, sounds lovely, rare etc looks good with a nice set of wheels and sus kit

Wheels cost a fortune Racing Hart, first set in the world they were! 10.5'' wide
Cost fuck all to run really (tyres aside), fuel isn't too bad 23ish mpg, servicing is normal car type, £200 a go etc, insurance grp 19 thats about it really

I had a 2.7 Boxster.
Its plenty quick enough and has such a nice engine note
They're built nice and solid and has plenty of room too.
I loved it

I looked at the same list before i bought my BMW; didnt like the build quality and driving position of the Porsche; just didnt feel like a porsche really! The S2K was close but was very high on insurance and i felt the ride was a little to harsh and the cabin a little to small. So i went for the ZM Roadster and love it to bit; fairly economical; a lot cheaper to insure than either of the other two; 321BHP so quite a bit quicker. My parents have an s2k and they both say now that they would rather have mine than there's as its more useable everyday.
Here's a pic

Yeh it is; i pay under a grand for the M and the corsa on a multi car policy; im only 23 with 1 years NCB and a claim just under 3 years ago.
S200 was something silly like £2K, which is around the same sort of money i was paying on my v8 TVR! Also im getting 29MPG out of the BMW which im rather happy with

I have been looking into S2Ks recently. People over on http://www.s2ki.com/forums/index.php?showforum=25 are really helpful and theres a few good examples on there for sale.
But they apparently get through a set of rears in 10/12 thousand miles
