rite im thinking of blocking off my egr valve as i sometimes get a fault code from it sticking and causing the car to kangaroo.
If i block the gasket up is there anything else i need to do?
Will it pass mot.
Will there be any benifits or gains from it?
Will i still get a kangaroo when it sticks?
Will i get an eml?

Sorry for all the questions its just i cant be arsed to struggle to get it then find out i need to do it all again. its a x16xe corsa gsi btw.

if you remove the egr from the plug you will get a eml light


If you leave it connected and blank it off you wont.


Car will still pass MOT

No other benifits or losses that i am aware of


Mine had this problem the other week I took it out and cleaned it


Been fine since, although it is getting blanked off soon when i get a new inlet fitted

ive got the same problem at the mo some times engine light comes on if u stop the car and start it again its fine but then drive for about 10 miles and dose it again do u think i need a new egr valve

ive been told it can be cleaned out if just sticking, mine drives fine when the light is on just kangaroos for a few seconds when tghe light first comes on or if you are stopping when it comes on it will stall.

that is exactly the same thing my 1.6 sport is doing put a second hand egr valve on it and is a bit better but not much i think i will get a new 1
