Hi guys.
Just wondering what people are running in Corsa B's, front doors, 6.5" components... as I know theres issues with mounting depths, catching the window and so on, also on my old Corsa I had to cut door metal so the speaker connectors could sit flush without getting squished!
Looking at getting some comps for my latest Corsa (just got 5.25" coax's at the mo) so wondering what you guys run, any mounting probs or mods you had to do and what you'd recommend for a Corsa either way
Cheers!

ive got some infinity 6622's or summet but i got the slimline ones so they have a shallow mounting depth, think they were bout 7 quid more than normal ones and just used the autoleads apadter i already had

I'm completely impractical so I'd have to buy pods or have them made.. lol.
I've got autoleads adapters for my fronts at the mo so can reuse them.
Is it 63mm mounting depth I need for new speakers as a maximum?

Why not get some halfords adaptor rings and something like some Hertz components?
I've got them fitted in my corsa and the sound quality is amazing!

I've been looking at the 75 quid hertz components, have you got them amped mate?
I aint putting 6*9's in my doors lol
At the mo I've got the following in my car:
- JVC KD-G611 head unit
- GM front tweeters
- Alpine Type S speakers - SPS-13C2 5-1/4" fronts, SPS-69C3 6"x9" rears
- Custom made "stealth shelf" braced, angled speaker mounts etc.
- JBL GTO2000 amp
- JBL GT4 12" sub in sealed 1cu/ft box
- Autoleads 4 AWG wiring kit, head unit ISO loom and front door mounts
Thinking front comps and eventually a 4 channel amp to run them and bridge other 2 channels for the sub and probably a better sub but skint so doing things in stages lol

I haven't got them amped at the mo and they still sound good.
The guys that installed them said that they would sound even better when amped.

I got a 500 watt sub in the boot and they are the only other speakers in my car and they keep up with it very well.
I've even got the bass on -3 as it's too loud! They have never destorted either.

Where do you mount the crossover boxes when instaling comps as if youve got an amp in your boot how do you get a wire from that all the way to inside your door.

I have my bass on -4 out of -6 lol I let the sub do most of the work but with 220w RMS to it its pretty bassy anyway in a little cabin, shame everything rattles!
Crossover can just stick behind the door card easy enough, as for getting wires INTO the doors, its a proper twat apparently

Should complement your set up a treat dave!
I don't know how my crossover boxes were put on, it was done by a company called RMD Audio

Ahh, all good though if it sounds sweet
I've also been looking @ SPL dynamics 6.5" comps for similar money, also sposed to be very impressive... both are efficient too so be ok on the head unit for a bit...
Think the hertz have less mounting depth to worry about though
