well we were together for 18 months til last august. i was dead happy but for some stupid reason i kissed another bloke one night, told dan and he finished things. i dont blame him i would have done the same. since then he's kept me hanging on saying he loves me and he wants to be with me but he's not ready for a relationship now. he keeps saying he doesnt know how he'll feel in the future, but how long do i hang around waiting for him to decide if he wants me back??  At the end of the day I shouldnt have done what I did but it was only a kiss.

since we've split up its been nearly the same, everythings practically the same except dan's more distant than he was, and he wont commit to me

If you don't mind me giving my own personal opinion, it sounds like the beginning of the end.
I had a similar(ish) scenario with my (now ex) girlfriend and in the end the divide grew and grew, we both got increasingly annoyed with each other, etc...
Just my $0.02 though

i cant believe this. after calling him continuously from half 9, worried sick that something had happened to him, dan just calls me to say he's ok out for a drink with luke after he told me he wouldnt be able to see me for long tonight cos he felt sick. after he said he was coming over to see me!!!!!
