Just bought myself a rare floor lamp but it's come from Germany. Can I just change the plug and do a voltage test to check the wiring is ok or do I need to rewire it?
I think the insides/bulb holder is plastic so shouldnt be a problem with earthing etc.

Just change the plug, ive just imported a couple of lamps from germany. But im in Australia.
Brown will be live
Blue will be neutral
And green and yellow will be earth
If its double insulated you might only have live and neutral.
