right, im thinking of upgrading my engine cause its been poorly. i dont want to spend a lot on it because i want to save up for a GSI, i have a 1.2 8v(unfortunatly) and i wouldnt mind replacing it with the same type of lump, but i would like to have a bit more power (who doesnt). i was thinking would i be able to put a 1.4 8v in it ? and how much hard work would this be (i dont now anythink about engines) how much do u recon i should pay for one, and are they pretty quick ?

hi mate i have an sri 1.4i 8v and yes it is pretty nippy, will be very different from a 1.2 - its not really that hard a job to convert between these two and you would probably pay somewhere around £400 for what you want
but goes somewhere proper and decent to get this done mate!
