Looking into buying something VAG with the 1.9tdi 100 - 130 unit... What are peoples views on these engines with a few miles on them e.g. 100k?

quite a few turbo failures on the octavia between 50-80k miles out of 70ish cars in the company fleet

I liked the corsa, it was really good fun, really loud and really racey

But it broke lots and ran rough
